FRIDAY 2nd FEBRUARY 2024

The students who go to Jezersko must be in school by 07:30, because at 07:40 we will take the bus to Jezersko.

We will be back at around 13:30 - 14:00.

The students who go to Bled must be in school by 08:10, because at 08:20 we will take the bus to Bled.

We will be back at around 13:30 - 14:00.

All students on the snack list will get snack in the classroom. Lunch will take place in school.

THINGS TO BRING:

Ice skates and helmet (those who choose ice skating)

Kindergarten – will have sledging (you will get sledges on location)

PYP 1 to PYP 5 students  choose the activities they will do. Please send the information by 12th January, otherwise the acivities will be chosen for them!

Tuesday January 9th

The 2M students will explore food chains and the interconnectedness of living organisms. All activities will be hands-on – they will create a food chain model, discuss to understand roles of producers and consumers, investigate the energy flow in the environment, and play games to deepen their understanding of food chains. The science day will take place on Tuesday, January 9th, at 08:20 in the 2M classroom. We will finish at 12:00, when the afternoon programme will take effect.

On Thursday, 11th January 2024, the students of 7I and 7M will inquire into the interdisciplinary branches of computer science and engineering, such us intelligence, systems, materials and environment. We will visit Tehnopark Celje, where the pupils will attend two different workshops: coding humanoid robots and neurotechnology BIC (Brain Computer Interface). Afterwards they will have the opportunity to explore the Science and Entertainment Park.

Students should arrive at school by 07:50 and wait in front of the dining room to receive snack. At 08:00 we will leave the school and board the bus to Celje.  Our return is planned for 14:00.

A notice regarding the MYP 3 collapsed day, which will be held in the auditorium on 19th December. Students will prepare for and rehearse for their afternoon play. 

They won't have any extra lessons and ECAs that day.

"Less is more, less is enough."

On the winter solstice, 21 December, the MYP students will participate in various activities connected to celebrating Christmas more sustainably, and aligned with the quiet and restful winter season – creating less waste through recycling, reusing, repurposing, and discovering that non-material things matter brings greater joy.

For this reason, we also encourage the students to bring one unused, second-hand item to donate to the classroom raffle – toys, games, school supplies, mugs or T-shirts, or such items they wouldn't mind receiving themselves.

The MYP team

On Thursday 14th December, theKindergarten students will go to the National Gallery. 

The gallery staff will prepare a workshop called "Where is Gal" based on the Story Gal in the Gallery by S. Makarovič. 

We will leave school at  09:00 and take the city bus to the city and back.

Lunch will be served at 12:30. Make sure you arrive at school on time as we will have breakfast at 08:30.

On Tuesday, 5 December 2023, the 1M students will participate in a science day as well as in a variety of activities at school from 08:20 to 12:05. They will explore their senses and try to use them to describe the environment around them. Their focus will also be on body parts, body systems and they will inquire into different organs. The pupils will also investigate different mindfulness techniques and try to find the one that suits them the most. The students should bring an empty half litre plastic bottle with the label removed. Activities will take place in our classroom. AP and lunch will be organised as usual. 

We meet at 08:20 in your classroom. Be dressed in sport clothes. There will be different sport activities taking place in the gym. Sports day will finish at 12:05. After that, the pupils will join CC activities.

Snack and lunch will be at the usual time.
