On Monday 4 November 2024 (MONDAY AFTER HOLIDAYS!!!) there will be a 5th grade sports day on the topic of basketball. The sports day will take place at the school (middle gym). Renowned basketball coaches Aleš Fabjan and Dejan Milenković will be with us. The sports day starts at 08:20 and will last for four lessons. Snack and lunch will take place as usual.

The students come to school at 08:15. They will be involved in practical lab activities through which they will learn how to pose a testable question, form a hypothesis, define variables and set an experiment. Afterwards, they will learn how to collect results, analyse them, present them in a table/graph form, draw conclusions and complete an evaluation of the entire process.
Materials required - A science folder, pencil case (with a sharpened pencil) and student agenda.
The science day ends at 12:55.

On Wednesday 16th October, starting at 08:20 at the school, the students of 7I and 7M, will have the opportunity to explore the world of robotics through hands-on, interactive presentations. The event will run until approximately 13:00.
During the day the students will discover how robots work by exploring their mechanics, electronics, and software.
The students will get the opportunity to control the humanoid robot Lili using brain signals (BCI). They will also see the abilities of MOBY the Robotic Dog, try controlling it, and even attempt programming it. Additionally, they will work with DIY Softy Robot, created by Katapult Robotics, which can be controlled with Bottango software, allowing the students to animate it themselves.

On Wednesday 23 October 2024, the grade 5 students will participate in a workshop about the Solar System – through mathematics – which will take place in school. The students should come to school as normal, and the Science Day will conclude at 12:05. The afternoon programme will take place at the usual time.

The students from 4M will visit the Tropical House in Celje on Wednesday, 2 October .
The students will learn about plants and animals and their role within an ecosystem, how living things are interdependent, how prey and predators differ (physical characteristics and adaptations to their environment, their dependence on each other - healthy populations, the movement of substances in nature, birth, life, and death (number of offspring, stable ecosystems, etc.).
The students should be at school by 08:10. We will return between 12:00 and 12:30.
They must bring a small backpack and a water bottle. Snacks are provided at school.
We are looking forward to seeing many exotic animals and plants.

On Friday, 4 October, the 2M students will have cultural day. All activities will start at 08:20 and will finish at 12:05.
The students will explore social games, practice various ATL skills and recognize and apply the PYP profiles. All activities will be organized in school, in the second grade classroom.
The Afternoon programmer will start after the fourth lesson, and will follow the usual timetable.
On Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, the MYP students will take part in The Cultural Heritage Week. They will express themselves using various visual art techniques. and research the topic Heritage of cultural routes, networking and connections. We will focus on traditional food and everything connected with it. The students will be able to choose two workshops.
The school day will start as usual at 08:20 and finish at 13:00. Snack and lunch will be provided as usual.

The 1M students will visit the Slovenian School Museum on Friday, October 11. The students should come to school as usual, at 08:10. They will need school bags, pencil cases and they should also remember to bring their yellow scarfs. After a short discussion about their expectations and school in the past, we will take snacks and depart from school. We will travel by public bus. The students will experience what school was like in the past and attend one lesson from the times of their grandparents. We will be back by 12:05.

During European mobility week, on 17th September from 09:00 to 13:00, the 3M students will take an educational walk on Železna cesta– (an area closed for traffic - from Linhartova ulica do Hacquetova ulica). The municipality of Ljubljana has prepared different information stands and a stage with musical performances. The students should wear shoes and clothes that are suitable for the weather. They should also have a small bag for a snack and a water bottle.

On Tuesday, 24 September, the PYP students will have a Day of Languages and Multilingualism. The purpose of this collapsed day, which is held in the same week as the traditional European Day of Languages, is to promote our linguistic and cultural diversity and foster students' abilities to communicate in various languages. The collapsed day will take place in school, beginning at 08:20. After four lessons, the students will have lunch and AP as usual.
