World Scholar’s Cup

Over the past weekend, the students who attend debate club took part in the regional round of the World Scholar’s Cup in which students from all over Slovenia and some from Austria joined to collaborate, communicate, challenge each other and have fun. The first day took place in Trebnje where the students demonstrated their knowledge on this year’s topic Reigniting the future in three events: collaborative writing, scholar’s challenge and, most importantly, team debate. The second day was less stressful as they only had to compete in the scholar’s bowl. The day concluded with a talent show and the award ceremony. Overall, the students were very successful and here are some of the top awards in the junior division:

Individual debater:
