DESCRIPTION:On Thursday 15 October, 5M will have a science day about the solar system.
During the day, the students will explore our solar system through scale
and measurement. Working mainly in pairs, each group will be assigned a
planet and will calculate its distance from the Sun and its size, both to
scale. All the pairs' work then comes together into one large walkable
model of the solar system, which the class will present at the end of the
day.
The collapsed day will be held at school, so snack, lunch and the afternoon
programme will take place as usual. Afternoon programme will start after
lesson 4.
Please make sure your child brings:
· Pencil case
· Calculator (if available)
We are looking forward to a fun, hands-on day of learning about our solar
system.
