Our first graders recently went on a special walk around the school with local police officers to learn about road safety. They practiced how to cross streets safely at crossroads, zebra crossings, and traffic lights, always remembering to look both ways and wait for the green light.
To stay visible, the children wore their bright yellow scarves – a great way to help drivers see them more easily. The officers explained how important it is to be seen, especially in poor weather or low light.
It was a fun and educational walk, and our students are now more confident and aware of how to stay safe in traffic!
