Danila Kumar Day – Culture Fair

To celebrate Danila Kumar Day during Slovenian Cultural Heritage Week, the MYP students took part in a range of activities in their English lessons that explored and celebrated their cultures. The 6M students brought objects connected to their cultures and wrote their stories. They then participated in a gallery walk to learn more about the cultures of their classmates. Furthermore, the 7M students learned about deities from different cultures in connection to their mythology unit. The 8M and 8I students wrote lines about their cultures in iambic pentameter, linking the activity to their Shakespeare unit. In addition, the 8M students brought cultural objects and presented them to their classmates, explaining their significance. These activities gave the students an opportunity to share their cultural backgrounds and learn more about the diversity within our school community.
