The new school year brought new challenges, new opportunities, and new adventures –and our school team, the Dominant Owls, rose to every one of them with energy, creativity, and determination.
From exploring a brand-new First Lego League Challenge to mastering a new robot game field, developing innovative solutions, learning new skills, and building new friendships, the team made the most of every moment. Their dedication and teamwork led to excellent results at both the State and Adria Finals of the First Lego League.
The Dominant Owls achieved success in all four competition categories, showcasing not only their technical and research skills, but also the values that define true teamwork. Students from both the national and international departments worked together brilliantly, demonstrating the LEGO Core Values of inclusion, teamwork, discovery, innovation, and respect.
A special highlight of this year’s competition was the team’s outstanding innovation project. The students impressed the judges with their idea to digitalize the depot system in the National Museum Slovenia by replacing paper-based administrative processes with RFID technology. Their solution was innovative, practical, and highly relevant – and it earned them the 1st Prize and Gold Award.
This achievement is a wonderful reflection of the students’ talent, dedication, and countless hours of teamwork. It also shows what can happen when curiosity, knowledge, and innovation come together.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic success!
