On Monday 3 March, during the 1st lesson, a workshop about Peer Belonging and Influence will take place in 7I.
The objectives of the workshop:
- Students understand the need for belonging and acceptance as a reason for the occurrence of peer influence.
- Students experience the process of peer influence and recognize the individual roles within this process (“influencer,” “follower,” “individualist”).
- Students learn about behaviours that can result from succumbing to peer influence.
- Students recognize the “futility” of giving in to peer pressure and explore alternative ways to achieve acceptance and popularity.
The workshop will be led by the organization No Excuse.
