On Wednesday 22 April, our 1M students celebrated a vibrant Cultural Day filled with creativity, storytelling, and collaboration. Throughout the day, we explored a variety of text formats, including fairy tales, lists, poems, and even recipes. Each activity encouraged us to think differently about how stories can be told and shared.
We didn’t just write – we expressed our ideas in multiple forms. We retold stories in our own words, enhanced them with musical backgrounds, and brought them to life through illustrations. This combination of writing, art, and sound made the experience both engaging and memorable.
Then after, on Thursday, we proudly presented our work to some other students. We hosted classes 2A and 3C in our classroom and also visited class 5A to share our creations. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our learning, build confidence, and connect with others through culture and creativity.
