1M and 2M recently took part in the international reading project Naša Mala Knjižnica (Our Little Library), participating in an exciting online quiz that connected young book lovers from different corners of Europe. 1M competed against their peers from Opatija, Croatia, while 2M, joined by students from a Slovenian advanced group, challenged a class from Estonia. Both teams did exceptionally well, showing impressive knowledge of the books and stories they had read throughout the school year.
The quiz tested their understanding of the content in both English and Slovenian, and the students demonstrated a strong grasp of storylines, messages, characters, authors, and illustrators from various countries.
However, beyond the excitement of the quiz and the joy of international collaboration, we reached an important realization. What matters most is not winning or losing, but the journey we shared through reading. This project gave us countless opportunities to dive into stories, reflect on their deeper meanings, and explore diverse cultures through literature. We learned to appreciate different perspectives and values, developed our imagination, and strengthened our love for books.
Naša Mala Knjižnica has reminded us that stories are powerful tools – they connect people, spark conversation, and inspire young minds. Congratulations to both 1M and 2M for their effort and, more importantly, for being thoughtful readers and active participants in this literary adventure.
