5M Kavka – Day Two

The day started pretty early, as we had to tidy our rooms ready for inspection. Then we had a breakfast full of variety. Afterwards, we prepared for our hike to the WW1 Outdoor Museum on Kolovrat – we hiked for ten kilometres on the Walk of Peace in both Slovenia and Italy and explored the bunkers at the outdoor museum. Following a well-deserved lunch, we celebrated Kris’ birthday with a delicious flying cake. In the afternoon, we went to nearby Kavka cave – we explored it and learnt a lot of information about the ecosystem of caves and rock types, including limestone. When we arrived back at our acomodation, we continued working on the PYP X. For desert after dinner we ate the delicous štruklji that we made yesterday. later in the evening we had an exciting cornhole tournament. Then shower, playing and bed.
