On Monday 20 April, the Playful Architecture science day for Grades 1–5 will focus on hands-on learning regarding space, architecture, and design. Over five school lessons, the students will participate in workshops covering city building and sustainable structures to develop spatial awareness and critical thinking.
The students should bring the following school supplies, regarding the grade they are in.
Supplies List:
1M: pencil, coloured pencils, markers, glue, scissors, and a small figurine (e.g., from a Kinder egg).
2M: pencil, coloured pencils, markers, and scissors.
3M: pencil, coloured pencils, markers, glue, scissors, natural materials (deciduous or coniferous branches, leaves, pinecones, moss, stones, sand), and an old piece of clothing that is no longer useful.
4M: pencil, thin wooden sticks (e.g., from trees) of various lengths (from 5 to 20 cm, approximately 3 mm thick).
5M: newspaper for table protection, tempera paints, brushes, and palettes.
(Standard school supplies usually found in the classroom do not need to be brought from home)
The students are expected at school at the usual time, 08:10. The program will be conducted entirely within their classrooms. The school day will conclude at 12:40, with the Afternoon Program (AP) and lunch following as scheduled. All ECA activities for PYP students are cancelled for the day.
