On Thursday 19 June, the MYP 1 and MYP 2 students took part in our Festival of Diversity, a special event celebrating cultures from around the world.
The students moved around five interactive stations, each offering a unique cultural experience. They learned a brief history of the traditional English sports of cricket and rugby, which have had a big influence globally, and had a taster of playing them too, discovered how to make mocktails inspired by Africa, South America, and Asia, and matched biographies of famous people from different countries. They also enjoyed singing and dancing during a karaoke session and got creative by designing traditional board games from various cultures.
It was a fun day in which the students explored different cultures through hands-on activities. Tomorrow, the adventure continues with five brand new stations to discover.
