On 22 November 2022, some of our grade 7 and grade 8 students took part in the school round of the English Language Competition organized by the National Education Institute Slovenia.
We are happy to announce that three of our students, Eva, Lia and Maria from grade 7, qualified for the national round, which will take place on 30 March 2023.
We are very proud of all the participants, and we would like to congratulate the three qualifying students and wish them lots of luck at the upcoming competition!

On Thursday 30th March, we are going to the House of Illusions. Students should be in school no later than 08:15, when breakfast is going to be served.
We will go to the city centre via public transport (bus no. 6) at around 08:50 and will return back as normal for lunch at 12:00.
Make sure your children have appropriate footwear as we are going for a short stroll through the city centre after our time in the House of illusions.
*Students do not need any additional snack.

This year our MYP 2 students can take part in the English language competition organised by the National Education Institute Slovenia. Students will first participate in the school round and the best students then qualify for the national round.
The theme of this year’s competition is: “Changes make the world go round.”
In both rounds, students will have to demonstrate their knowledge in the following tasks: reading comprehension, use of language (grammar and vocabulary), written task.
- The school round will take place on Tuesday, 22 November 2022 at 13:00.
- The national round will take place on Thursday, 30 March 2023 at 14:00.
Students who are interested should contact their English teacher, Ms Anja Dežman.
*Students who are native speakers unfortunately cannot participate.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETITION – MYP 3 (8M & 8I)
This year our MYP 3 students can take part in the English language competition organised by the National Education Institute Slovenia. Students will first participate in the school round and the best students then qualify to the national round.
Students will have to demonstrate their knowledge in the following areas:
School round: reading comprehension, use of language (grammar and vocabulary), written task.
National round: reading comprehension, use of language, written task based on the book John Green: Turtles all the Way Down.
- The school round will take place on Tuesday, 22 November 2022 at 13:00.
- The national round will take place on Thursday, 30 March 2023 at 14:00.
Students who are interested should contact their English teacher, Ms Anja Dežman or Ms Tina Frelih.
*Students who are native speakers unfortunately cannot participate.
