28th and 29th September 2022
Slovenia celebrates a Week of national and European cultural heritage from 24th September until 8th October 2022. Therefore, our students of the MYP will be visiting a small town called Idrija. Idrija is well-known for its craftwork, lace, with which the tradition stretches long into the history of Slovenia.
On 28th September, students will visit the Museum of Idrija and get to know all about the lace, they will also participate in craft workshops. We will meet at 7:20 at Tuš carpark, as well as take the snack with us. The bus will leave at 7:30 for Idrija. Students will visit and participate at three different workshops and return back to school at approximately 13:30. Lunch will be available at school after our arrival.
On 29th of September, students of the MYP will have a Technical day, where they will prove, upgrade and implement their knowledge of making lace from the previous day. Therefore, teachers will prepare three different workshops. The day will start at 08:20 in specific (will be informed) classrooms and finish at 13:00. Students will have snack and lunch in school.
The best art and craft works will be exhibited at the final exhibition at the entrance of the school.
